Travel
Q: Do you charge a travel fee?
A: Travel up to 20 miles from Pittsburg, KS is included in all packages. Beyond that, a travel fee of $0.65 per mile (round trip) applies. If your session requires an overnight stay, we’ll discuss that in advance, and the cost must be paid prior to your session or wedding day.
Booking & Payments
Q: How do I reserve my date?
A: To secure your session or wedding date, a non‑refundable booking retainer is required. For weddings, this retainer is 25% of your package price. For non‑wedding sessions, the retainer is 50%. Your date is confirmed only after both the signed contract and retainer have been received, and services will not begin until both are submitted.
Q: Can I pay in installments?
A: Yes! For weddings, the remaining balance is due 30 days before your wedding. For other sessions, the remaining balance is due one week before your session.
Optional Engagement Sessions
Q: Are engagement sessions required? Can they be done after the wedding?
A: Engagement sessions included with a wedding collection are optional and intended to take place prior to the wedding day so we can get to know each other, work together before your wedding, and help you feel comfortable in front of the camera. If you choose not to schedule your engagement session before your wedding date, it will be forfeited and cannot be redeemed afterward. Engagement sessions are available only to couples who have officially booked a wedding collection and cannot be applied retroactively to previously completed couples, portrait, or mini sessions, nor credited toward wedding package pricing.
These sessions are also a great opportunity for couples who may already feel comfortable in front of the camera or have worked with me before to simply enjoy a relaxed, fun couples shoot experience leading up to their wedding.
For couples who prefer not to schedule an engagement session but still want to connect beforehand, a complimentary Zoom coffee chat can be scheduled to go over wedding details, timelines, and any questions. This is a great way to connect and ensure everything feels smooth and organized leading up to your wedding day.
